  since there have been so many recent threads on charles taze russell, the 1st president of the watch tower society, would you ever consider following that movement?

  Bem,

  I swear, I don't know what has gotten into me. I should just throw in the monkey wrench. Enough of this monkey business! What sort of monkey shine is this anyway? Let us stop monkeying around. I mean, this is Nuts! Completly nutty! Nutty as a fruitcake it is. Ahhhh, nuts! I feel like such a goober!

  Thanks MeatPie (cute name btw). That explains the origin of the name Monkey Nuts then.

  Ya know, come to think about it, there used to be a place nearby that had a cage containing two spider monkeys. You could put a quarter in a bubble gum machine that was full of peanuts, to feed the monkeys. I guess that is a big part of their diet. I had forgotten all about that.....A few years ago, the monkeys escaped and were found months later nearly 30 miles away!

  Ballistic, any knowledge you can pass on for the term "Monkey Shine"? (just call me Curious George) lol

  Thanks for the link Golf. I just read the transcript, and thats about what I expected. A bunch of rapid-fire one liners, while they hurry along before the dreaded commercial break. LOL

  I am no clearer on MM's ideas, nor on Bill O'Reilly's. I would have rather they debated one or two issues than do this jab and weave routine. What really gets me is that these supposed news shows actually think this is what the audience wants to see. Despite all our political views here on the forum, the one thing we seem to have in common is that we are not impressed.

  This is just too funny! We call the shelled with skins "redskins" or spanish peanuts

  The skinless (trying to contain myself) we call "blanched peanuts".

  and in the shell are "goobers". LOLOL

  But seriously, why do Brits call em Monkey Nuts???? Is it for the obvious reason? Cause I am thinking that Brits are just too proper to name them that and keep a straight face!

  There will not be discussion. There will be no hard questions asked and answered, time will not be spared for clarity, (sponsers wanting to sell chop-alls and viagra ya know).

  I have seen it all before, on every channel, not just Fox. Cnn prides itself also on the "He who screams the loudest wins the battle", and "He who cuts to commercial wins the war".

  I am a republican, but O' Reilly is no idol of mine....... Instead I will use my own noggin and try to put in order what is most important to me. My vote will not be swayed by loud mouthed morons on either side.

  That is the most beautiful part of poetry. It makes us feel and experience what the author wrote. Here I am in tears, but never experienced drug addiction myself, nor anyone close to me....But yet I feel like I just experienced it. Very moving, SheilaM.
